Tim Donohue is a former president of the Seton Hall Alumni Association. He previously served as an adjunct professor and legal writing instructor at the law school. Both of his surviving brothers, the Honorable Joseph P. Donohue, J.S.C. and Assistant Prosecutor James Donohue, also graduated from Seton Hall Law School. While attending law school in the evenings, Tim served as an editor of the Seton Hall Law Review. He graduated magna cum laude 1984. After law school, Tim clerked for the Honorable Dickinson R. Debevoise in federal court in Newark.
Mr. Donohue is a founding partner of the law firm of Arleo & Donohue, a litigation boutique located in West Orange, New Jersey. Tim specializes in white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation. He has appeared in cases throughout the country and has been recognized by his peers as one of the leading trial attorneys in the state. Tim is a frequent lecturer on trial advocacy topics. He is an active member of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey, the United States District Court Historical Society and the Association of the Federal Bar. He was the law school's distinguished honoree at the 2008 Many Are One reception. Tim is an Emeritus member of Seton Hall Law Alumni Council.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife Nina and his two daughters Alison and Mary Juliet. He is a season ticket holder for the Seton Hall basketball team and loves to play golf, although not particularly well.
