Dear
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
For nearly 170 years, Seton Hall has written an inspiring story of curiosity and knowledge,
opportunity and resilience, faith and hope, and service to the community.
The story began with our founder, Bishop James Roosevelt Bayley, who had a vision
to build an eminent Catholic university, and his inspiration, Mother Elizabeth Ann
Seton, who established the parochial school system in America.bThe story continued
with men and women, lay and religious, who learned here, taught here, made discoveries
here — discoveries about the world, about humanity and about themselves.
It is the story of men and women who make up our University today: proud, talented,
driven and blessed. It is a story that will go on forever because the Setonian community
keeps returning, in spirit if not in body, to support future generations who will
follow in their footsteps.
We invite you to help write the next inspiring chapter of the Seton Hall story by
joining the largest philanthropic initiative the University has ever seen: For All,
Forever. This is the most ambitious comprehensive campaign in our history, with a
goal of raising $225 million, which will directly benefit every member of the University
community and every aspect of the Seton Hall experience.
When you support the campaign, your impact will reach far beyond our campuses. Your
generosity will make a quality education grounded in Catholic faith and values accessible
to thousands of eager, deserving students. It will enrich the student experience and
further strengthen the academic excellence for which we have always been known. And
your gift will resonate throughout the world, in the people and communities our graduates
ultimately serve, lead, improve and inspire.
In these pages, you will discover many worthwhile funding priorities that show incredible
promise and positive impact. And you will read stories that we trust will inspire
you to join in making the campaign a success.
This is your opportunity to help write the future story of Seton Hall, its people
and its place in the world. Now is the time to embrace our mission to provide a quality
education, grounded in Catholic faith and values.
FOR ALL, FOREVER.
Yours truly in the Lord Jesus,
Monsignor Joseph Reilly ’87
