For Parents

Welcome Pirate Parents

From Sandro Tejada, Director of Major Gifts - Parents Program
The Seton Hall Parents Program serves as the primary point of contact for all undergraduate parents and families. We want you to stay connected, both to your student and to other Seton Hall families, remain informed about what's going on within the Pirate community, and engage with us. We are here to answer your questions, offer assistance whenever we can, and provide suggestions to support their success. We want to help all Seton Hall parents and families do three things: Learn. Engage. Connect.

The Family Fellows Program

The Family Fellows Program was created as a way for Seton Hall to recognize the generous support of our most loyal parent donors, who each make an annual gift of $10,000 or more to the university. Family Fellows choose their own philanthropic legacy, and these parents have made gifts to support such wide-ranging priorities as internships, scholarships, athletics and gap funding for student ventures.

The Family Fellows Program allows you to play an important role in the financial health of the university, and makes a powerful statement about how much you and your family value a Seton Hall education. As a fellow, you will:

  • Witness the real-time impact of your generous gifts on our community
  • Inspire other families to support the university through your example
  • Join your peers in exclusive gatherings with Seton Hall’s top leaders
  • Create a philanthropic legacy for your student to follow

Pirate Parent Ambassador Program

The Pirate Parent Ambassador Program is an opportunity for parents and family members of current students and recent alumni to get involved at Seton Hall University by reaching out to both prospective and current students and families, locally and regionally. Ambassadors share their knowledge and offer support as well as assist with recruitment, involvement, retention, and philanthropic support. More »

Parent Testimonial

"My family has deep roots at SHU. Starting with my dad working there for 30 years, and myself and 2 other siblings attended and graduated from Seton Hall. Currently my daughter attends and my son will attend graduate school there in the fall! This wonderful place has given my family so much, we will always be indebted and can never give back all it has given us."
