Welcome Pirate Parents

As a Seton Hall parent or family member, you are an important part of the Pirate community and an essential partner in your student’s success.
The Seton Hall Parents & Families Program serves as a connection point between families and the University throughout the undergraduate experience. Our goal for 2026–27 is simple: help families Learn. Engage. Connect. while giving students the independence they need to grow.
Learn
Staying informed helps you better understand your student’s Seton Hall experience and the resources available to support them. Throughout the year, we will connect families with University leaders, deans, faculty and Student Services professionals through our Parents & Families Newsletter, Coffee & Conversation programs, Evening with the Dean series, webinars and other communications.
Topics will focus on what families tell us matters most from academic success and student engagement to wellness, career readiness, internships and preparing for life after Seton Hall.
Engage
We want parents and families to be active partners in the Seton Hall community. Opportunities include Homecoming and Family Weekend, the Parent Leadership Council, parent and family programs, regional gatherings, volunteer opportunities and conversations with University leadership.
We will also continue creating opportunities for parents to share their professional expertise, networks and experiences to benefit Seton Hall students.
Connect
Ultimately, our goal is to strengthen the connection between families, students and Seton Hall. Your role evolves throughout your student’s college journey, but your encouragement and support remain important.
We invite you to partner with us in helping students take advantage of everything Seton Hall offers, from getting involved on campus and developing as leaders to pursuing internships, building professional networks and preparing for successful careers.
Families can also make a direct impact through the Parents Fund for Student Life & Leadership, which provides flexible support for programs that advance academic success, career readiness, student engagement and leadership, wellness and student support.
Together, we can help every Pirate make the most of their Seton Hall experience and leave prepared to lead, serve and succeed.
Learn. Engage. Connect.
