Paul Tyahla '03/M.B.A. '23, President
Paul Tyahla is Executive Vice President of Issues and Crisis Management at Syneos
Health Communications, where he works with life science companies to manage business and reputational challenges.
During his career, Paul has helped companies establish crisis communication protocols, manage stakeholder-specific
issues, and navigate some of the most high-profile communications crises of the last
15 years. Previously, Paul worked on behalf of state trade associations and on legislative
and Congressional elections.
Paul graduated from Seton Hall in 2003 with a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy and is completing his MBA at the Stillman School of Business in 2023. He and his wife Shannon, MA '17, were married in Seton Hall's Chapel of the Immaculate Conception and live in Cranford, NJ with their three children and rescue dog Setty.
Juan Sebastian Agudelo '07, Vice President
Agudelo is currently a director at Bridge Investment Group which is a $50 billion
alternatives investment manager. In his day-to-day, he helps to safeguard the capital
of pensioners globally, connecting with thought leaders and leadership at pension
plans, sovereign wealth funds, governments, and consultants around the world. He works
to inform these organizations about the investment opportunities available through
Bridge. Agudelo's role requires a significant amount of travel, primarily throughout
the Americas including Latin America, as he works to educate these potential investors,
learn about local markets and pension programs, and build relationships.
Juan earned a bachelor's degree in finance and economics from Seton Hall University. He also earned a master of business administration with a concentration in real estate and finance from Columbia Business School.
Garry De Boer '05
Garry De Boer is a senior audit professional with more than fifteen years of experience
in the alternative investment space. Currently at CohnReznick, he specializes in the
financial reporting of complex investment structures, including private equity and
digital asset funds, and is recognized for his technical expertise and practical client
guidance. He has also played a key role in training staff and developing best practices
within the firm’s financial services practice.
In November 2023, Garry was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky—the state’s highest civilian honor—in recognition of his noteworthy accomplishments and service to the community. He is also a proud member and active volunteer at Germania Park of New Jersey, an organization he has served since 2012. He previously held a seat on its executive board and currently serves as both a trustee and a member of its audit committee.
Most recently, Garry became a first-time author with the upcoming release of his children’s book, Taki Souvlaki: A Taste for Gratitude. The story was inspired by his observation that many modern children’s books lack clear, traditional messages. Through engaging characters and memorable storytelling, his debut aims to offer a meaningful narrative that families can both enjoy and learn from.
Garry graduated from Seton Hall in 2005 with a B.S. in Business Administration, majoring in Sports Management and Marketing, and later earned his M.S. in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He credits his time at Seton Hall with instilling in him a deep commitment to service and leadership, and he looks forward to giving back to the alumni community through student mentorship and engagement initiatives.
Garry lives in Randolph, NJ, with his wife, Tanya—also a Seton Hall alum—and their son.
Shahria Boston '04
Shahria H. Boston Kidd, Esq. is a seasoned attorney with extensive real estate and
litigation experience. Attorney Boston operates a full-service law firm that delivers
high-quality legal representation to individuals and businesses. Attorney Boston specializes
in real estate conveyancing and contracts, landlord-tenant litigation, employment
law and personal injury. She practices in both state and federal court across the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Attorney Boston received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University in 2004 and received her Juris Doctor from Northeastern
University School of Law in 2007. Attorney Boston is a member of the Seton Hall University
Alumni Board.
She serves on the Board of Directors for South Coastal Counties Legal Services and
the Justice Center of Southeast Massachusetts which provides pro bono legal services
to disadvantaged individuals. Attorney Boston also serves on the Board of Directors
for Boston's Bridge to Excellence, an organization committed to providing high risk
youths with mentorship and promotes academic excellence, personal development and
civic engagement. She is also an active volunteer for the Attorney for the Day Program
at the Metro South and Southeast Housing Courts.
Attorney Boston is the Treasurer for Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys, Life Member
of Massachusetts Black Lawyers' Association and Chair of the Lawyer Referral Service
Committee of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Attorney Boston has received numerous
awards and accolades including, but not limited to, Massachusetts Lawyer's Weekly
Top Women in the Law, First Justices' Award for Pro Bono Publico Excellence, National
Bar Association Women Lawyer's Division Outstanding Woman Lawyer in a Solo/Small Firm,
National Bar Association Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 Nation's best Advocates, The National
Black Attorneys Top 100 Lawyers and Top 40 Under 40, and the National Academy of Personal
Injury Attorneys Top 10 Under 40.
Susan Fetten Connors '85/J.D. '88
Susan Connors is a 1985 graduate of Seton Hall University where she received a B.A.
majoring in political science. She served on the University Senate and Student Assembly
while an undergraduate, participating in policy decision-making with administration
and faculty. She was a four-year member of the women's volleyball and fencing teams.
Upon graduation, Susan attended Seton Hall Law School, serving as a moot court director
and a child advocacy volunteer within the Essex County court system.
After completing her studies, Susan clerked for the Honorable Frederick C. Kentz in the Chancery Division of Superior Court, Union County, before commencing a 25-year career in private practice. She is currently a partner at Nagel Rice, LLP, in Roseland, New Jersey, specializing in medical malpractice and general civil litigation. From 2006-2012, Susan volunteered as an assistant girl's lacrosse coach at Chatham High School. She served as an undergraduate admissions counselor at Seton Hall University in 2012-2013.
Professionally, Susan has been designated by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and is a member of the Medical Malpractice Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She has served as a lecturer on recent developments in medical malpractice at the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education's Annual Tort Law Conference. Her professional associations seek to advance the career aspirations of young women in the legal profession as a member of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, New Jersey Association for Justice and Trial Attorneys of New Jersey.
Susan's affiliation with Seton Hall runs in the family: her five brothers and sister also attended Seton Hall University, she met her husband Richard, J.D. '88, during the first week of 1L classes at Seton Hall Law School, and they married in 1990. They currently reside in Chatham where they have lived since 1995, and have two adult sons, Richard (Trip), J.D. '23, and Sean.
John Fanta '17
John Fanta is currently a commentator, host and reporter with FOX Sports and the BIG
EAST Digital Network. He has covered a wide variety of events as the voice of the
BIG EAST Conference since 2017, from the conference's legendary tournament at Madison
Square Garden to multiple NCAA Tournament Final Fours. A 2017 Seton Hall School of
Communication and the Arts graduate, Fanta earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism.
While at The Hall, Fanta, a native of Cleveland, OH, felt truly at home and made his
mark in coverage of Pirate Athletics. As the voice of the Pirate Sports Network, a
fixture on 89.5 FM WSOU and a contributor to The Setonian and Pirate Television, Fanta
was seen and heard covering Seton Hall sports teams and traveled over half the country
covering teams throughout his four years. Because of his work, he became the first
non-student athlete to receive the Seton Hall Most Valuable Pirate Award, typically
given to a student-athlete who had gone above and beyond in their respective sport.
Today, Fanta calls Hoboken, NJ home. He can still be seen at Seton Hall Basketball
games covering the latest across BIG EAST Hoops and The Hall. His work has also been
seen on ESPN's family of networks, NBA TV and more.
Dr. Charles Farmer '12
Dr. Charles Farmer is an Emergency Medicine attending physician at University Hospital
in Newark, NJ. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is actively involved
in medical student and resident education. He graduated from Seton Hall in 2012 with
a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While at Seton Hall, he was a member of the Martin
Luther King Jr. Scholarship Association and served as a Resident Assistant. After
graduation, he attended The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and obtained
his M.D. in 2016. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at New York University
in 2020. He recently moved back to his hometown of Colonia where he lives with his
wife, Delores Sarfo-Darko '13, Ed.D.
Dalai Fazio, M.A. '06
Dalai Fazio, is a Senior Manager and Global Client Relationship Executive with Deloitte.
He is a leader in its multilateral finance and development banking practice, supporting
projects and teams in over 40 countries. His portfolio includes international financial
audit and advisory services, as well as fit-for-purpose energy, infrastructure, and
digital development projects in emerging markets. Before joining Deloitte in 2010,
Dalai started his career with the United Nations Secretariat in New York. His work
focused on advocacy programs that sought to prevent future intra-state and ethnic
conflicts, as well as helping publish the UN Chronicle. He holds an additional M.B.A.
in global strategy and a B.A. in political science from Rutgers University. Previously,
he was the President of the School of Diplomacy and International Relations' alumni
board from 2019-2021. Dalai lives in New Jersey with his wife and four children.
Albert Flynn '80
Albert Flynn was born and raised at the Jersey Shore and graduated from Seton Hall
University in 1980 with a B.S. in Education. While at Seton Hall, he was a member
of Phi Kappa Theta, where he continues to serve today as a member of the board.
Following graduation, Albert began his career in sales at Pitney Bowes, ultimately advancing to the role of Corporate Vice President, where he oversaw several lines of business. During his tenure, he also served as co-chair of the company’s Diversity Council and earned a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. After Pitney Bowes, Albert went on to lead several mid-size companies in executive roles, including Chair, CEO, and COO, before retiring in 2021.
At Seton Hall, Albert met his wife, Carol, a nursing alumna. Together they have a daughter, Kellie, who is married and raising two beautiful children at the Jersey Shore.
Richard Gill '92
Richard is a 1992 graduate of Seton Hall's Stillman School of Business and started
his career in accounting in NY/NJ. After earning a graduate degree at Indiana University,
he moved to Chicago and was an investment banker, consultant, and risk manager. Currently,
he consults for CFO's and CRO's on various capital, treasury, transformative, and
regulatory initiatives. Richard is a proud father of two teenage boys and along with
his wife, Song, resides in Chicago (so let him know when you come to Wrigley!).
Beth Hicks '04
Beth Hicks is a strategic marketing leader with more than 20 years of experience developing
brand, business development, and communications strategies across the commercial real
estate and retail sectors. Most recently, she served as Managing Director of Marketing
at THE MART, a Vornado Realty Trust property, where she led integrated campaigns,
high-profile events, and business development initiatives for the largest design center
in North America. Her career also includes senior marketing roles at IRC Retail Centers
and General Growth Properties, where she drove corporate rebranding, digital transformation,
and tenant engagement strategies that delivered measurable business growth.
A proud 2004 graduate of Seton Hall University, Beth earned her B.A. in Communication with a minor in Graphic Design and Advertising Art. While at Seton Hall, she served as a Peer Advisor, Resident Assistant, and held a work-study position in the Communications Office. These formative experiences shaped her passion for leadership, mentoring, and community engagement. She has remained closely involved with Seton Hall as a Midwest Alumni Ambassador and now serves on the Alumni Board of Directors.
Beth met her husband, Tom Hicks—also a 2004 Seton Hall graduate—on their first day at the University, when they were placed in the same orientation group. They now live in the western suburbs of Chicago with their two teenagers and their energetic Labrador, Stanley. In addition, Beth serves on the board of Gold Star Mission, where she supports marketing and outreach efforts to honor Illinois’ fallen service members and provide assistance to their families.
Alison Kruse '15
Alison Kruse is a Director at Bank of America in the Sustainable Banking Solutions
Group, within the Global Corporate and Investment Bank.
She began her career at HSBC in 2015, working across various capital markets teams,
including Financial and Corporate Debt Capital Markets. In 2020, she assumed responsibility
for leading HSBC’s Sustainable Bonds effort for the Americas before joining Bank of
America in 2021.
Alison graduated summa cum laude from Seton Hall University with a B.S. in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance and Information Technology Management. While at Seton Hall, she was a member of the varsity Women’s Golf team and the Buccino Leadership Institute.
Jennifer Lawson '04
Jennifer Lawson is a senior communications leader with more than 20 years of experience
developing and executing strategic, integrated communications campaigns for leading
consumer, healthcare, financial technology, and retail companies.
She currently serves as Senior Director of Corporate Communications at LendingClub, where she leads external communications strategy. Prior to joining LendingClub, Jennifer held senior communications roles at Nasdaq and Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., where she managed media relations, brand campaigns, risk mitigation, and crisis management strategies.
Earlier in her career, Jennifer worked at top global public relations firms, including MSL and Ogilvy, where she led award-winning campaigns for consumer packaged goods and pharmaceutical clients. Her work has been recognized by PRWeek, PRNEWS, Provoke Media, and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), among others.
Jennifer graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University in 2004 with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Business Administration. She remains engaged with the University through the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media’s CHAMP mentorship program, where she has served as a mentor to undergraduate Public Relations and Communications students for nearly a decade.
Stacie (Ballou) MacCourtney ’14
Stacie Ballou spent the past decade building a successful career in the Manhattan
elevator industry, specializing in sales, operations, and consulting. She held leadership
roles with both global manufacturers and independent consulting firms before recently
choosing to step back from the corporate world to focus on raising her two young children.
She lives in Staten Island with her family, where she continues to compete in golf
and enjoys traveling with her husband and children.
A proud graduate of Seton Hall University, Stacie earned her Bachelor of Science in
Physics in 2014. During her time at Seton Hall, she was a four-year member of the
women’s golf team, culminating with the teams 2014 Big East Championship, and was
active in the Student Alumni Association, serving as vice president her junior year.
Ann Marie Pietronico Mauro, '82\M.S.N. '85 , RN, CNL, CNE, ANEF, FAHA, FNAP, FAAN
Ann Marie Pietronico Mauro, PhD, RN, CNL, CNE, ANEF, FAHA, FNAP, FAAN is the Joan
Hansen Grabe Dean and Professor of the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing at Hunter
College, the flagship nursing school of the City University of New York. A national
expert in health professions education, Dr. Mauro is a visionary leader who has advanced
innovation, diversity, equity, inclusive excellence, and collaborative partnerships
across academia and professional organizations.
Prior to joining Hunter, Dr. Mauro served as Director of the Nursing Education Program and Visiting Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is also former Dean and Professor of the Marjorie K. Unterberg School of Nursing and Health Studies at Monmouth University.
A fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, American Heart Association, National League for Nursing Academy of Nursing Education, National Academies of Practice, and New York Academy of Medicine, Dr. Mauro is recognized as a national leader. She is a past president of the Eastern Nursing Research Society, a former member of the Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science National Advisory Council, and has held leadership roles on the Visiting Nurses Association Health Group Board of Trustees and the NLN Board of Governors. In addition, she previously served as president of the Washington Township K–8 Board of Education in Morris County, NJ.
Dr. Mauro was named a 2025 City & State New York Trailblazer in Higher Education and has received numerous awards, including the 2025 George J. Hebert Leadership Award from Seton Hall College of Nursing, the Eastern Nursing Research Society President’s Award for Outstanding Service, the NYU Meyers College of Nursing Distinguished Alumni Award, the AACN Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Award, the New Jersey League for Nursing Nurse Recognition Award, and the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Academic Educator Award. Her work has also been honored with two Robert Wood Johnson Foundation/AACN recognitions: the New Careers in Nursing Innovation Award and the Above and Beyond Award.
Dr. Mauro earned her B.S.N. magna cum laude and M.S.N. in nursing education from Seton Hall University, her Ph.D. in Research and Theory Development from New York University, and certificates from the Wharton Nursing Leaders Program at the University of Pennsylvania and the inaugural national cohort of the Executive Leadership in Academic Health Centers program at the University of California, San Francisco Leadership Institute. She met her husband, Tony Mauro ’84, at Seton Hall.
Erin Miu '11
Erin is a recent MBA graduate of Syracuse's Whitman School of Management and has been
an accountant at her family's firm, Miu & Company, for over eight years. Miu consults
with business and individual clients primarily in tax and financial planning. Prior
to that, she has experience in the fashion industry, as she managed global designer,
Vivienne Tam's, flagship boutique and helped host events and fashion shows during
New York's biannual Fashion Week event. A 2011 graduate of Stillman, she holds a B.S.
in Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a minor in French. In her
spare time, she enjoys traveling, watching Formula 1 racing, lifting, and is currently
pursuing an M.S. in Accounting at Syracuse University.
Andrea Moten '88/M.B.A. '93
Andrea Moten is a retired Human Resources professional with more than 35 years of
experience. In 2020, she retired from Princeton University and her management role
at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory after 25 years of service. During her tenure
at the Laboratory, Andrea directed and performed numerous HR functions including talent
acquisition, training and development, employee and labor relations, and diversity,
equity inclusion and accessibility. Most recently, she joined Parker Health Group,
a not-for-profit, New Jersey based aging organization committed to empowering older
Americans. At Parker, she provides and leverages her expertise as a Human Resources
Business Partner.
Andrea is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the nation's first Black sorority founded at Howard University in 1908. She has been an active member for over 40 years and has been elected or appointed to positions serving the local, regional, and international levels of the organization. Additionally, she currently serves as a member of the Diaconate at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, NJ where she previously participated in other ministries.
Andrea attended the Stillman School of Business where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management. She resides in Somerset, NJ with her husband Greg.
Adrian Orozco '19
Adrian Orozco is the New Jersey Political Director of Service Employees International
Union (SEIU) Local 32BJ, the nation’s largest building services employees union. In
this role, he leads the union’s legislative, electoral, and political contributions
programs in New Jersey. Adrian is dedicated to leveraging policy to improve standards
for more than 15,000 of the state’s security guards, janitors, airport workers, and
food service workers.
Before joining SEIU, Adrian taught fifth-grade Spanish in a public school through Teach for America and later served as chief of staff for an Assemblymember in the New Jersey State Legislature.
Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Adrian graduated from Seton Hall University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
Vina (Tailor) Reddy '17
Vina Reddy is an Associate at BlackRock on the COO team in US Wealth Advisory. She specifically serves Sales Practices and Operations. In this role, she focuses on business process, policy, risk management, controls, business and expense management, and other strategic initiatives. Vina joined BlackRock through the 2017 Graduate Analyst Class after a summer internship. She has completed a number of rotations in the Global Finance Group before joining the USWA business.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Vina interned at Verizon and Arthur J. Gallagher in Human Resources Talent Acquisition and Insurance Sales Marketing. These internships all occurred during the summer of her time at Seton Hall University. During her four years at Seton Hall, Vina was named the Buccino Scholar for the Class of 2017, in the Buccino Leadership Program, and Alpha Phi amongst many other activities and scholarship recipient awards. Vina graduated from Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University with a degree in Finance and Marketing as well as certificates in Business Information Technology and Supply Chain Management.
She proudly serves on the Seton Hall Leadership Advisory Council and is the Diversity Equity Inclusion Offer for the Alpha Phi chapter on campus. Vina met her husband, Vinn Reddy, at Seton Hall University and they now reside in Montville, New Jersey with their dog.
Christina Riso '04/ J.D. '08
Christina Riso, JD currently serves as the Vice President for University Advancement
and Chief Advancement Officer at Gwynedd Mercy University in Gwynedd Valley, PA. In
her role, she oversees the strategic vision for philanthropic support and alumni and
constituent engagement as GMercyU continues its historic Mercy in Motion Campaign,
a comprehensive campaign aligned with the University’s 75th Anniversary. Prior to
GMercyU, Riso served in various Advancement roles in education with a focus on major
gifts, planned giving, strategic planning, organizational development, communications,
and alumni and parent engagement.
Christina earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.S. in Business Administration majoring in Sports Management from Seton Hall University. Christina also earned a M.S. in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
Philip Sanford '05
Philip Sanford is a 2005 graduate of Seton Hall University, majoring in finance with
a minor in communication. He has been an Alumni Ambassador since graduating, organizing
alumni events and engaging with potential students in Ohio through 2008 and in North
Carolina for the past 12 years. Philip was awarded the Alumni Impact Award at the
2015 Many Are One gala. Professionally, Philip has worked in benefits administration
and human resource management for ADP since Sept. 2008 after working for independent
financial advisors for three years.
Outside of work, he has capitalized on his love for running and community building. A certified coach with the Road Runners Club of America, Philip is on the board of directors for the Charlotte Running Club, coaches grade school boys in the Let Me Run program, helps lead the largest organized weekly run club in Charlotte, and is the event director for the Get Your Rear In Gear 5k in Charlotte. His sister, Rachel, is a 2007 graduate of Seton Hall University and former member of the Seton Hall Board of Regents. Philip is married to Jessica Lackey and they live in Charlotte with their dog and cat.
Vincent Santore '17
Vincent is a systems engineer, data scientist, and researcher at Lockheed Martin Rotary
and Mission Systems, continuing his tenure from his undergraduate internships. With
multiple peer-reviewed papers in the field of data analytics, he continues to find
new ways to leverage data for the greater good. As a student at Seton Hall, he was
a proud member of the University's Honors Program while obtaining both a B.S. in Business
IT Management and a B.A. in Catholic Studies. Shortly after graduation, he became
the founder and CEO of The Burr Project, a non-partisan political data analytics organization.
He additionally holds an M.S. in Data Analytics from Rowan University. Currently,
he continues his education at Ball State University for his M.B.A. in IT leadership
while residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Al Soricelli ‘86
Al was born and raised in New York and graduated from Seton Hall University in 1986
with his BS/BA in Marketing. Al was (and remains) a proud member of Tau Kappa Epsilon
(TKE) Fraternity. Shortly after graduation Al moved to Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn where
he met his future wife, Ann Franco and on October 6th, 1990, they were married in
the Immaculate Conception Chapel on Seton Hall’s campus.
Al is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and has been the financial services
industry for 31 years. One of his guiding principles can be found in Proverbs 16:3,
“Commit you actions to The Lord and your plans will succeed.” In his words, “If my
efforts can help people succeed while glorifying God in the process, then my professional
purpose on this earth will be fulfilled.”
On a personal note, Al and Ann have lived in Port St Lucie, Florida since 1992. They have three daughters, Emily, Gina, and Jeanette, as well as two grandchildren Luca and Andie. When he’s not spending time with his family Al enjoys running, cycling, yoga and supporting Seton Hall athletics.
Sam Stoia '86
Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Sam attended Seton Hall Prep, then Seton Hall University
where he earned his B.S. in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting. After
college he worked in public accounting for approximately four years before starting
law school at Ohio Northern University. Upon graduating from law school, Sam clerked
for the now retired Hon. Robert L. Penza, J.S.C. of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
After working in a business litigation firm in New York City for several years, in 1999, he went to work at West, a Thomson Reuters Business, selling software to large international law firms headquartered in New York City. In 2012 he started his own law practice concentrating on litigation, largely family law matters.
As a resident of Jersey City, NJ he was the president of the Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association, and in that capacity led the renovation of historic Hamilton Park. He also began the Seton Hall Prep Alumni Networking breakfast. Sam is presently on the board of the Griffin Bridges Foundation of Seton Hall Prep, which provides scholarship for academically qualified inner-city students.
Paul Tillman ’70, MA ’71, JD ’82
Paul Tillman is a dedicated three-time alumnus of Seton Hall University, holding degrees
in social studies, psychology and law. He currently serves as a school psychologist
for Paterson Public Schools, where he is committed to supporting student success.
During his time at Seton Hall, Paul was actively involved in the MLK, Jr. Scholars
program, the Varsity Club, and the Black Student Union.
As an engaged alumnus, Paul finds great meaning in speaking to students at MLK, Jr. Scholars retreats and volunteering with the homeless in Lakewood, NJ—both experiences that reflect his passion for giving back. He remains closely connected to Seton Hall through attending any event he can. His favorite being Open Houses, where he can connect and inspire future pirates and parents.
Paul joined the Alumni Board to help foster greater involvement from African American alumni and strengthen diversity within the Seton Hall community. His ability to connect with and encourage fellow graduates to engage with the University is one of his greatest strengths.
Kyle D. Warren '04/M.A.E. '07/Ph.D. '20
Dr. Kyle D. Warren is the senior vice dean for the School of Nursing at Rutgers University.
In that role, he serves as the dean of students and as the dean of administration.
Dr. Warren has worked in higher education administration and student affairs throughout
his entire career at institutions including Seton Hall University where he worked
in various roles within Student Affairs. A forever pirate, Dr. Warren completed all
of his formal education at Seton Hall University to include a Ph.D. in education leadership,
management, and policy; a master's degree in higher education and student affairs;
and a bachelor's degree in public relations and advertising. In addition, he completed
the Management Development Program within the School of Education at Harvard University.
Dr. Warren is a resident of Bloomfield, NJ.
Carolyn M. Welsh '93
Carolyn M. Welsh is President and CEO of NJ Sharing Network, the federally designated
nonprofit organization responsible for the recovery of donated organs and tissue in
the Garden State. Throughout her 24-year tenure with the organization, Carolyn has
worked with NJ Sharing Network employees, local hospital and community partners, and
hundreds of volunteers to consistently achieve record growth in lives saved and enhanced
through organ and tissue donation and transplantation. In 2022, Carolyn was recognized
by NJBIZ on its prestigious list of New Jersey's Best 50 Women in Business.
In addition to Carolyn's role at NJ Sharing Network, she serves on the Board of Directors of Caucus Educational Corporation (CEC) and Eversight. She is also a founding member of the Association of Organ Procurement Organization's (AOPO) IMPACT Committee. Carolyn previously served on AOPO's Chief Operating Officer's Council and was a member of the United Network for Organ Sharing's (UNOS) OPTN OPO Committee.
Prior to joining NJ Sharing Network, Carolyn worked in the Medicare division at United Healthcare, where she was responsible for building and maintaining relationships with hospital executives and medical staff.
Carolyn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership and Nonprofit Management from North Central University. She resides in Colts Neck, NJ with her husband, Tom, and their sons, Scott and Kyle.
Mary Williams '89
Mary (Christiano) Williams graduated from Seton Hall in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science
degree in mathematics and minor in computer science. She is now retired after a 33
year career as a computer programmer/analyst first at IBM and then at Lincoln Investment.
While working at Lincoln she attained a FINRA Series 6 License.
Mary met her husband Greg on their second day of freshman year at Seton Hall. They began volunteering in 2006 with the Seton Hall Alumni Recruitment Program (SHARP). Since then Mary has enjoyed meeting prospective Pirates at numerous open houses, college fairs and recruitment events.
In 2014, Mary and Greg were honored to receive the Alumni Impact Award at the Many Are One Alumni Award Gala. They have established The Williams & Christiano Memorial Endowed Scholarship to assist students who plan to study mathematics, computer science or business. Mary enjoys volunteering with the St. Vincent de Paul Conference at her parish. She is a founding member of the conference and has served as the President and Treasurer. Mary and Greg live in Bordentown, NJ where they are happy to be close to family, friends, Seton Hall and the Jersey shore.
