Event Registration Refund Policy

Refund and Cancellation Policy Regarding Events Sponsored by Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy

Paid Events - Should your plans change, or you otherwise decide not to attend, and you would like your event fee to be converted into a charitable contribution - you must notify Seton Hall in writing by sending an email to [email protected]. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes.

To receive a full refund, you must cancel at least two business days prior to the event by contacting [email protected] or (973) 378-9822. Please note that for events with a special refund deadline (more than two business days), refund requests must be made by the deadline. Special deadlines will be noted on all event communications.

"Sorry, no refunds" - Due to special circumstances involved in planning some events and providing certain experiences, the University is unable to issue refunds in some instances. Events that fall under these special circumstances will be clearly marked with the language "Sorry, no refunds." Please take care in purchasing your tickets. The University is unable to provide refunds for these special events despite the circumstances.

Ticketed Events (Athletic games, concerts, shows, et al.) - All ticket sales are final and are not refundable under any circumstances. Tickets include, but are not limited to, athletic events (whether home or away), bus tickets and show/theatre tickets.

Cancellation by Seton Hall University - Seton Hall University reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events in the event of any and all circumstances that would deem the event/s not viable. Should an event be rescheduled, all fees paid will be valid for admission on the rescheduled date. Should the event be canceled, all fees paid will be refunded.

Event "No Shows" - In the event of "No Shows" for an event, when a refund has not been requested in the allotted time period, all fees paid will be recorded as a tax deductible donation to Seton Hall University. The purchaser will receive a receipt indicating the tax-deductible gift.
